According to South Africa news reports at least 20 people were killed when a bus left the R26 road between Bethlehem and Fouriesburg in the Free State. This occurred on Saturday 15th of January. SABC News reports a tire burst and the bus left the road, plunging into a river. At least 18 people have been reported to have died at the 'Love Parade" music festival in Duisberg, according to German police. Many of the people died after being crushed in an underpass tunnel.

Below is a useful video showing how the EMS service is structured in Texas, United States. Founded in 1968 it is the largest provider of pre-hospital care in the state of Texas. This video is a promotional video for the company but I think it's worth watching and highlights another efficient scheme out there on the world stage.
