phcworld.org was started in 2009 and is a growing international resource providing support for Emergency Service Personnel and Pre-Hospital Care Providers around the world. It is a non-profit company and all funds generated from the site go towards supporting Pre-Hospital Care & Health Initiatives in East Africa.

There are many organisations which provide Pre-Hospital Care around the world and are responsible for supporting and educating medical and emergency service personnel. This site hopes to promote their excellent work through listing their courses and linking to their websites. We also recognises that there are many countries where Pre-Hospital Care is a new and as yet unestablished area of medicine. This website therefore hopes to promote Pre-Hospital Care Medicine internationally and become a resource for personnel interested in this subject.

Dr. Nic Sparrow MBBS, BSc, MRCGP, CCFP

Dr. Nic Sparrow is the founder of Pre-Hospital Care World. He is currently working as a locum emergency physician in rural British Columbia, Canada. He has a specialist interest in pre-hospital care medicine and has worked alongside the UK, South Africa and Canadian Emergency Medical Services.
